Weekly bookish writing prompts. Hosted by Booking Through Thursday I recently just discovered this meme, and it looked fun to do so let's do this!
This Week's question; What books have you been required to read that you ended up loving? Oh my this is a hard question, I've read a lot of required books I'll just name five that I enjoyed immensely.
1. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
2. Dracula by Bram Stoker
3. The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer
4. Anthem by Ayn Rand
5. Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
I LOVE Frankenstein makes me bawl like a baby each time I read it, I can relate to his character a lot, with not fitting in, being feeling alone in the world. Dracula does make me cry because he doesn't get the girl, and it has no HEA. Anthem scared the shit out of me when I was in high school, thinking what if my life was a "We" instead of "I". Romeo and Juliet is a classic that everyone learned to love and hate, but in fact I loved it. I fell in love with the forbidden romance, the clash of the two families. The House of the Scorpion was an up and down young adult novel now turned into a sequel which still haunts me. And that concludes this week's question, see you next week!
